I was thinking of a way to fix Shadow Form, and I thought of removing it completely. If ANet did this, however, Assassins would have one less Elite Skill. To remedy this, I wanted to add in a new skill for them, "Assassinate."

Unlinked. Skill. Instantly kill target non-boss. Only recharges with a Morale Boost from a non-item.

Cannot be used on Lich King, Shiro, Abaddon, etc.

Yes? No? Suggestions?

EDIT: Shadow Form would be REMOVED from the game, Assassinate would take it place.
It's a one-hit kill, like Ebon Vanguard Sniper Support, but it ALWAYS gets the extra damage at the cost of being recharged only after a Morale Boost from a NON-ITEM.

As Smiters Boon showed us, removing a skill totally is borderline impossible. So no, Shadow Form has to be changed.

Other than that, your skill idea is horribly broken. Unlinked? Just load up a Mo/A 55 farmer and kill anything you really want. Or teams of 8 just using this and spiking down mobs in DoA or UW with it on Arcane Mimicry.

Edit: Just saw the recharge clause. Makes it useless. There would be no way to balance a skill like this.

My suggestion is to change the GOREDENGINE's things functionality.

Which is coincidentally what the Live Teams seems to be poised to do. A little late to the party, aren't we?

or what about when you do it to shiro, lichking you pop from behind and then it does the warriors dance animation.. they are crippled with a hex called buttsecks

and bears are immune to it's effects.. if you do it to a bear it's a bait and switch- you end up on the other side

umm can i say useless skill? insta kill yea would be helpful but dont work agaisnt bosses does end the tome farming thing but it kills its use in any groups

Would you rather have this skill which could have some fun uses or have SF which, after the nerf, would most likely be useless?

Seeing as how I put in "Does not work on Lich King, Shiro, Abaddon, etc. other creatures could also be put in or even complete quests.

This skill could be hard to balance, but I think it would be fun, and it makes an Assassin an ASSASSIN.

Not really. I wouldn't mind having an insta-kill skill to use on enemies.

There already is insta-kill in this game and it's available to every profession.

All it requires is 2 skill slots, /A and 3 necro heroes...

So you have a skill that only has bossnumber+1 uses per zone/mission ? i dont see the point atm or what has to do with SF rework :/

I agree this would even be worse than shadow form. If a player has enough consumables the skill reloads whole the time (moral boost). So Uw would become real easy for an example... Those Aaxta's .... BOOM ! dead
the value of ecto's would lower again, ...

The idea seems good, but not this way

On its own, this skill would be very useless, but in a team build with 8 x/me with echo, arcane echo, and arcane mimicry, and one me/a with this skill and arcane echo and arcane mimicry, it'd be hilariously OP-ed.
